Privacy Policy
Effective [DATE]
The short version
- We collect your email so we can tell you when Fortunaut is ready.
- We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use ad trackers on this site.
- A few service providers help us run the site and send email. They can only use your information to do that for us.
- You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information anytime.
Who we are
Fortunaut LLC (“Fortunaut,” “we,” “us”) runs getfortunaut.com. This policy covers this website and the Fortunaut waitlist. The Fortunaut app will have its own privacy policy, which you’ll be able to read before you sign up or connect a bank.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- How you found us, such as the friend’s link or website that sent you here.
- Basic visit information, such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and your general location (country or state). Our analytics don’t use cookies and don’t identify you personally.
- Your IP address, which we use to keep out spam and fake signups.
We don’t ask for your name, bank details, or anything else to join the waitlist.
How we use it
- To email you about the waitlist and let you know when Fortunaut is ready to download.
- To show the total number of people on the waitlist. We never show anyone’s email.
- To understand which pages and links bring people to Fortunaut.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that host our website and database, send our emails, and measure site visits. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
- If the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Fortunaut, our users, or others.
- If Fortunaut is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. This policy would continue to apply to your information.
Cookies and Do Not Track
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites. Because of that, there’s nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off, and we treat Global Privacy Control signals as a request not to sell or share your information, which we already don’t do.
How long we keep it
We keep your email while you’re on the waitlist. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to make sure we don’t email you again. If you ask us to delete your information, we’ll delete it within 30 days. If Fortunaut doesn’t launch, we’ll delete the waitlist.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
- See, correct, or delete your information by emailing support@getfortunaut.com. We may need to confirm the request came from your email address.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have rights to know what we collect, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We’ll honor these requests no matter where you live, we’ll respond within 45 days, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit and limited access, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Children
The waitlist is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. If the change is significant, we’ll also email you before it takes effect.
